Treen
Treen is one of our two newest (2023) self-catering properties, and it’s simply stunning.
Sleeping up to 6 people, this reverse-level property is suited to families and groups looking for the perfect holiday rental in Cornwall.
This ‘upside-down’ house has a first-floor, open plan living space with balcony that offers panoramic views over Porthmeor Beach and St Ives Bay.
Treen can be booked together with Lanyon for larger groups (up to 12 people) who wish to holiday together but have separate facilities.
The two properties cater for up to 12 guests in 6 bedrooms, with 6 bath/shower rooms. (Please note, however, that we don’t accept hen/stag parties or college leaving groups.)

Ground floor
You’ll find all three bedrooms on the ground floor. There are TVs in all the bedrooms.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and ensuite shower room. It has direct access to the decked garden, so early risers can nip outside to enjoy the views without waking the rest of the house. The other two bedrooms both have super king-size zip and link beds, which can be converted into two single beds. One also enjoys direct access to the decked garden, and the third bedroom is to the rear of the property.
Having two bedrooms with zip and link beds means you can choose to have:
• One king-sized bedroom and two super king-sized bedrooms.
• One king-sized bedroom and two twin bedrooms.
• One king-sized room, one super king-sized room and one twin room.

There is also a family bathroom on the ground floor. It has a bath with a step-over shower, WC and basin. You’ll be provided with towels to use in the house – please remember to bring beach towels with you.
A staircase leads to the first floor.

Upstairs
Most of the first floor is taken up by the open place living space (kitchen, dining area and lounge). Thanks to the open plan layout, this property provides plenty of opportunity for quality family – and friend – time, and you’re never far away from that magnificent view. Adjacent to the kitchen area, you’ll find an additional shower room.
The kitchen is to the rear of the space. It is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your self-catering holiday in St Ives. There is a double oven, induction hob, built-in microwave, and quartz worktop. The dining area has ample seating for everyone and the lounge area to the front has sofas, a TV and a wood burning stove to keep everyone cosy.

Outside
This modern house has been built to be enjoyed in all weathers – it has underfloor heating throughout, with an air source heat pump, and the hot water is supplemented with solar thermal panels.
Sliding doors leading from the lounge to the balcony show off the sensational 180-degree views over St Ives Bay and the beach below and allow you to enjoy the scenery whatever the weather.
During school holidays/peak season Treen lets on a weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday.

In the decked garden, you’ll find a built-in BBQ. The balcony has a table and chairs, as well as relaxing chairs so there’s room for everyone to sit back and take in the views and fresh sea air. This is a great space for breakfast, lunch or dinner – or for sitting playing cards and board games with the family. The house is a short (10-minute) walk to Porthmeor Beach. Slightly further afield (but still within walking distance, or an easy drive), Porthminster Beach offers a more relaxed atmosphere and is great for families. St Ives also has other smaller, secluded beaches like Porthgwidden and Bamaluz, which are perfect for peaceful walks or picnics.
Parking & EVC
Treen has parking for 2 cars, and a free charging point for electric vehicles.
